Product Description

Style

Designs using the Pueblo Night stone combination feature Sierra Nevada black jade, turquoise, tiger eye and mother of pearl to produce these dramatic, nighttime scenes. With precision inlay work, this pendant is a contemporary play on a classic design.

History

Pueblos are modern and old communities of Native Americans in the Southwestern United States of America. The first Spanish explorers of the Southwest used this term to describe the communities housed in apartment-like structures built of stone, adobe mud, and other local material. These structures were usually multi-storied buildings surrounding an open plaza. (courtesey of Wikipedia)

Craftsmanship

The intricate inlay is set with silver dividers and represents many hours of the skilled stonecutter’s craftsmanship. This technique ensures the stonework will remain beautiful and in place for generations. Turquoise is the "good luck" stone prized by Navajo for its beauty for many generations.  The band is solid sterling silver and is polished to a gleaming finish with no rough edges.
